Who We Are
About Us
Telling the story of Sydney and Australia's forgotten pioneers — and directly funding the preservation of their memory.

Daniel Phillips is the founder of SydneyGhostTour.com and SydneyHistoryTour.com. He is a local history buff, who has researched in enormous depth and detail the hidden history of the North Shore of Sydney.
SydneyGhostTour.com and SydneyHistoryTour.com seek to tell the story of Sydney, and Australia's forgotten pioneers. We preserve and promote their memory, by vividly telling their stories in the present — through our tours, the internet, and other technologies.
It came about as a result of watching, with mounting frustration, elected officials and bureaucrats paying lip service, and not much else, to the need for preserving our heritage. It became apparent to Daniel that an alternative plan was needed before more was lost.
Profit for a Purpose
10% of pre-tax profits go to conservation
Rather than wait for government to "get around to it", Sydney History Tours places 10% of all pre-tax profits directly into an active conservation fund. We act in the promotion of history through the internet and multimedia presentations, and in the preservation of historic sites, headstones and other remaining artifacts.
Every time you come along on one of our tours, you know that you are directly contributing to the preservation and commemoration of the people and places you will see and hear about.
Peace of Mind
Enjoy your tour with confidence — Working with Children Check
Under NSW legislation that protects the public, a Working with Children Check is a thorough background check completed by the NSW and Australian Federal Police, examining state, territory and federal records to ensure a person is fit and proper to conduct activities such as coaching, teaching and guiding young people.
Daniel holds this certification as part of the due diligence and required certifications for SydneyHistoryTour.com. You can bring or send your supervised teenage children along to our tours with confidence that they are in responsible care.
